Description
The business improvement and capital projects register tracks larger projects and is typically administered by the Site Manager’s Executive Assistant or an on-site business improvement resource.
Projects should follow a clear planning process, including scope definition, expected outcomes, key milestones, and valuation to ensure benefits are realized.
Each project requires a risk assessment to identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans, reviewed regularly in meetings. Upon completion, a Post-Implementation Review (PIR) should be conducted to evaluate success, compare outcomes to expectations, and capture lessons learned.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) should be set to monitor project progress and ensure alignment with business goals.
A communication plan should keep stakeholders informed of progress, changes, and support needs. Adequate resources must be allocated upfront, and any gaps addressed promptly to avoid delays.
This ensures projects are effectively managed, risks are mitigated, and improvements are fully realized.
