Answer Fox - Making AI Work for Your People

Answer Fox uses AI to answer your people’s questions with the wisdom and experience that’s otherwise stuck in your documents.

Imagine everyone could get help from your most experienced and wisest people whenever they had a question, they could ask that “stupid” question that would keep them safe and get answers to difficult problems without having to wade through dense procedure documents.
Answer Fox understands your documents and directly answers the questions your team throw at it. You control the information it is looking at and it can’t come up with any crazy ideas because it only looks at the documents you gave it. With Answer Fox, people can ask follow-up and clarifying questions and then follow a link to the document or documents that the answers came from to get into more detail.

This makes it easier for your team to follow the safe and productive processes that will help you safely hit your targets and deliver results.

With Answer Fox, answers are in your pocket and at your fingertips, it’s so easy to “do it right”, there’s no excuse not to!

Pump Install

John works in the services team on site and was asked to install a pump, he’d done it before but when he got to the worksite he realized this was a rental pump that was different to the ones he was used to. He quickly used his phone to ask Answer Fox about the pump he was looking at, got a few pointers on how to install it and then, to make sure he understood correctly, clicked through to the procedure document to look at the diagrams he needed. He installed the pump safely and then got onto the next task on his plan.
Later on he was asked to prepare the work site so the next crew could remove trees from a new dig area. Again he pulled out the OpsKit app and asked Answer Fox “how do I remove trees from a new dig area?” he got a good description of the overall process, but followed up asking “what should I do to prepare the worksite to ensure it is safe?”. He got another good succinct answer, and again clicked through to see a diagram in the procedure.
John sent a link to the procedure and copied the response from Answer Fox to the supervisor of the next crew to make sure they knew what was happening.

Step Up Supervisor is Unsure How to Start a Shift

Pete is a new step up supervisor, he’s been onsite as an operator for a couple of years but now as a step up supervisor he has a whole lot of new responsibilities at the start and end of shift.
He got given an old training document by one of the other supervisors and has been booked into some training in a month but right now he’s about to turn up for the start of shift and he’s not sure what to do!
So, he pulls out the OpsKit App and asks Answer Fox what he’s supposed to do at the start of shift. Answer fox responds with …….
Pete then asks a follow up about how to do a handover, he gets a response and then goes through to the Handover part of Dr MOS in the OpsKit app to explore the tools he should use and “what good looks like” for him.
He starts the shift with a good plan and a lot more confidence than he felt on his way to work.

New Planning Engineer

Jody is a new planner on site. She’s got plenty of experience and tools she can bring from other sites and has been made responsible for the weekly plan. She’s keen to impress her boss and was about to bring out her old tool box when someone told her she should have a look at the OpsKit App. She goes in and follows through the Weekly Planning steps in Dr MOS. She downloads the sites planning meeting agendas, the weekly plan input checklist and an example Weekly Plan template and has a good read through. With this understanding she has the right conversations and meetings and puts together a weekly plan that gets the best out of the people and equipment available this week.
During the planning meetings she gets one of her colleagues to take actions, to assess the way she ran the meetings and to give her some feedback. They review the actions at the end of the meeting and next week she applies the feedback she got and her Heath Score goes up. The plans she’s making are good and Jody is getting better at her role!

New Department Manager

Andy has been the Maintenance Manager for a few months. He’s thinking his daily review meetings aren’t working very well, he’s been given access to the OpsKit App and has a look at Dr MOS to see “what good looks like”. He downloads the department daily review agenda / run sheet and follows a link to the reports he is supposed to be using in PowerBI. Surprised by how simple but helpful these tools are he explains to his team that they are going to follow this new approach and asks them all to go through the app and get familiar with what good looks like.
Now, every morning he asks one of his team to both take actions and to assess the department daily review meeting. They use the OpsKit app to do this and review the actions at the end of the meeting. The team absorbs and applies the feedback they get while watching the Heath Score of the meeting and their performance go up.
Best of all, the team are using these meetings to learn to get better at getting better. Steve feels well prepared for the Site Daily Review Meetings, their results are improving, and they are feeling good as a team.
